BBC HARDTALK with Tun Dr. Mahathir - Malaysiakini Listen Again.

Last two days during my special article about MPs Jump Over - Malaysiakini. Tun Dr. Mahathir To The Rescue? There have been a few comments about the way he administer the country and during his time as Prime Minister. Is a mixed reaction. Some of them like him and some of them don't.

By the way, I can say many of us never really seen this video clips conversations between Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad with Stephen Sackur from BBC.

Here are some of the video clips that we all need to take a look and I'm sure we will enjoy watching "BBC HARDTALK With Malaysian Former Prime Minister Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad".

This interview was taken about one month after the 12th General Elections on 08.03.2008. Very interesting because some the things that Tun Dr. Mahathir mentions did really happen at our current political crisis. Listen on and you will enjoy it because we can see how Stephan lambasted Tun Dr. Mahathir.

Part 1

In the first part there was talk about "racist" near to the end of this video clip and even there is a few conversations talking about Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim during his previous time in the governments.

Quite an interesting conversations between them as talk about Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim continue to the second part..

Part 2

In this second part, during their conversations, Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohamad did touch about Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, multiracial in our country and talking about ISA (Internal Security Acts) - Please refer to words in RED LINES.

Stephen : You use the laws which went back to the colonial time in the Internal Security Acts, the emergency procedures, do you feel satisfies to tell me....do that was entirely legitimate ?

Tun Dr. Mahathir : "No..We find that the situation in the country is very.. very fluid and the... it is very likely that there will be a racist acts unless we prevent such people who are promoting racial hatred from talking about it"

Part 3

In this third part, someone needs to know that we are living in a multiracial country. There is one time before, people do always says that Malaysia is the most prosperous country and is the only country which stays together and living together in harmony.

Stephen : "Under 1984 Press Law which require a newspaper to get a new license every single year and it is easy for you to quite them down."

Tun mention that the Press Law is always been there because we live in a country of multiracial.......

Tun Dr. Mahathir :"The facts is that, we have a multiracial country... and if we are not careful.... there will be a racist... racist flare up. If you look at the most country.. with the multiracial populations, there are never PEACEFUL even Northern Ireland...it took you such a long time to a... stop the war in Northern Ireland."

The points is that we all knows lately there was a heat argument between the Malaysian on the words come out from Datuk Ahmad Ismail's "Malaysian Chinese were "penumpang" (squatters). I'm not going to write any article about that (race issue) because I believe living in harmony in a multiracial country. No one is perfect neither am I.

As we use to say - "Don't judge the book by its cover, don't mess the country by one person remarks (attitude)" Enough is Enough. The more we talk about it, the more harm will do. If the Racist Argument keep on going then it would be very very bad for our economic, prosperity and our share market as well.
